About COLDHEARTED BOSS

I’m desperate and destitute when Lockwood Construction rolls into my small town with an offer too good to pass up: high wages to any able-bodied man willing to join their crew.

Say no more. I throw on baggy clothes, tuck my long hair under a baseball hat, and apply for a job. Unfortunately, my half-baked idea of disguising myself as a guy is flawed from the beginning. As Shakira says, these hips don’t lie.

Still, I like to think I might have pulled the whole thing off save for one thing:

I know my boss.

Last month, we met at a bar, and after a fiery first encounter, it seems we’re destined to be sworn enemies.

MY REVIEW

*i recieved an eARC in exchange for an honest review :D

this is such an easy 5 star rating, i loved it!!

as you know, r.s. grey is my favorite new adult author, majority of her works are phenomenal romantic comedies, and they always bring me on quite the thrill! you never know what to expect, except that there’s always slow burn romances in her books, they’re amazing. especially in coldhearted boss, it started off with a taste of what could be, and then through half of the book it’s such an agonizing slow burn. i loved their banter, and how there was so much unspoken between Ethan and Taylor. they are both so stubborn and strongly determined not to give in, this is one of m favorite love-hate relationship because they actually hated each other for a little bit

Ethan is the kind of guy that doesn’t have time for a relationship, or really anyone actually. i feel like when we first meet Ethan is when we see who he really is, he’s just blinded by a grudge for what feels like eternity. honestly, i was practically shouting at my kindle for Taylor to speak up and tell the truth, because i knew that when they finally showed some sort of feelings for each other, it would be amazing…

Taylor is a really likable character, whenever she put those mens clothes on, i was having Amanda Bynes She’s the Man vibes so bad! i just love how she didn’t let the stress get to her too bad, and apparently she’s a bookworm–that’s cute! i couldn’t help but imagine Taylor Hill whenever i thought of Taylor’s appearance.

i’ve discovered that office/work relationships might be my favorite, because to this day one of my favorite books by Grey is The Allure of Julian Lefray. Grey knows how to write an amazing and enticing rom-com, i’m always left inbetween feeling satisfied and wanting more. if you’re into new adult rom-coms or wanting to give it a try, definitey pick this up on amazon or for free if you have kindle unlimited.

*p.s.: you can get access to the kindle app for free and get the book for $2.99, no kindle e-reader is required 🙂
