A convict with a thirst for revenge.

A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager.

A runaway with a privileged past.

A spy known as the Wraith.

A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.

A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.

Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz’s crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don’t kill each other first.

my rating: ★★★★★

i loved this book, i thought it went beyond my expectations and the audiobook was perfect for a re-read for me. i found another way to say some of the words and i also still found myself clutching my heart at a few scenes… like I knew it was coming but i was still shook! Kaz Brekker is my favorite character, he is so unique and different than what you would usually see. he’s not a hero but he’s a misfit that worked his way to the top-ish of the barrel and i have so much respect for him. he has weaknesses… or a weakness… and i could talk about him forever.

i also love Wylan’s character a lot more than i expected, he’s not just a little merchling and actually proves himself and his worth and good for him!!!! also can we talk about how awesome and informative those flashbacks were!? i usually don’t like flashbacks because they’re not as interesting and only give us a small bit of help but these flashbacks were incredibly written and some even gave me chills.

“the heart is an arrow, it demands aim to land true.”

if i could i would give this a 10/10 because it’s so good, it deserves all the stars and all the love because it instantly became my favorite book and inspired me so much that i got a tattoo of one of my favorite SoC quotes! it’s what Inej says through the book and it really stuck with me. personally, I developed a lot of meanings to the quote myself and found i couldn’t stop thinking about it.

my six of crows tattoo! this was just an hour or two after i got it.
